GC-1 Engine Generator Controller
The GC-1 is designed to control and protect diesel engine driven generators. The controllers allow the generators to be synchronized and to share load. The GC-1 is designed with a standard Woodward digital controller that includes built-in diagnostics and protection functions. The GC-1 includes three phase current and voltage monitoring, a circuit breaker with solid state trip unit, breaker control switches, and kW/kVAR load sharing.
The engine is controlled via a speed trim signal that is sent to the engine controller that is supplied with the engine. The GC-1 can control Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and other manufacturers. The generator excitation is controlled via a trim signal that is sent to the voltage regulator. This regulator is normally supplied with the generator but can also be supplied by Current Power Solutions in the control cabinet. The GC-1 can control synchronous generators supplied by Kato, Marathon, Caterpillar, GE, and most other manufacturers. |
